Several years ago, after having two children, I weighed 180 lbs. This was quite an increase for me as I weighed 108 when I got married. I was 28 when I got married so this weight was due to babies for sure.
I joined weight watchers and boy did it work. This program is wonderful because it teaches you how to eat real food from resturants, from the grocery store. You learn how to adapt your recipies to make them healthier for you and your family. When you learn to eat properly, you win! But the best part is that your family wins too.
Well, since then I have kept the weight off for 5 years. I am at 145lbs. I am comfortable here. I know that this is over what the ideal weight is but I am eating healthy and excercising. I am not going to stare...I am not a pleasant person if I don't get my food regularly.
First of all what works for me is weight watchers. You can even do weight watchers online! http://http://www.weightwatchers.com/index.aspxYou can't beat that. I actually went to meetings.

Hey Lynne! Saw your comment on my post; my blog is new too! I also do ww (but you wouldn't know it by my homemade bread post, right?) and I lost 24 lbs. before I had the baby and now I am doing it again and have lost 11 lbs. I hate to spend money, but ww is worth it, I wouldn't lose if I didn't go.
God bless you & have fun with your new blog :) -Bay
Thanks for reading my blog. I checked out yours too & it looks like you’re off to a good start. I liked your Weight Watchers posts – one of these days I’m gonna join. Glad to hear you love my blog & hope you will come back often or subscribe.

I wholeheartedly agree with you! I've been doing WW since February and it has been the easiest diet I've ever been on. What I love most is that I'm eating so healthy and so is my family. It's an all around great diet that I truly believe is the best balance of diets out there. I used to go to meetings but have been doing it on my own for a few months now. I found that it was hard to get back into a bad eating routine since I had eaten so well on WW for so many months. Love it!
