Frugal Tip: Don't Let Your Menu Control Your Budget! Learn How to Control Your Menu!

Make your weekly menu around what is in your pantry and the weekly sales. Instead of making your shopping list around a menu.
The normal thought process is to make a weekly menu , then make your shopping list and go out and spend alot of money.
You can really save some money changing your thought process:
First go to your pantry and make a list of items you have you could use for the week.  Keep in mind to look for items that might be close to expiration. Check the freezer as well.
Next you will want to see what special sales are going  on at the grocery this week.
Put these two together and make your menu around this list..use a website called RecipeMatcher to help you formulate recipes.
On this website you enter ingredients you have and it will give you a list of recipes that you may want to try.
You will be exposed to new recipes as well.
You will really save some money using this method.
RecipeMatcher is a website that you can input ingredients and it will give you a choice of recipes that you can make.....VERY USEFUL TOOL!

Cutting Cost On Groceries! Without Coupons!

With the economy the way it is....cutting corners is becoming a way of life for everyone. Not just us frugal queen who do it for sport...lol

With this in mind, I wanted to share with your a few ideas to save big!

Alot of folks don't get into coupon cutting...."Its to much trouble!"
It is alot of work, but worth it for those who are up for the challenge.

If you are one who does not do coupons......
Aldi is for you.

Aldi is a different concept for some but very familiar to others.

You have to put a quarter in a slot to get a buggy....don't panic...you get it back...you just must return your buggy...

You better believe, I always return my buggy...lol

You bag your own groceries, You either bring your own bags, or buy bags to use..

Plus the prices are cheaper than even Walmart.
Shannon over at Rocks My Dryer, There is an article and
she has even done a spread sheet that shows the price comparison
for Aldi and Walmart.

I also found a blog titled "The Aldi Queen" that has tons of recipies
all featuring Aldi products.

If you have an Aldi in your area....you owe it to you and your family to check it out.
The products are excellent....
You will not be disappointed.
I promise.
